Student presentations will be designed to address a general audience of biologists, containing sufficient background information to provide perspective insights into the fundamental questions being asked, and at the same time providing enough detail on technical issues and analytical procedures to allow evaluation of potential outcomes. Students are required to meet with the course instructor and program supervisor for complete course information and to complete their formal registration.

Our graduates have the flexibility to explore interdisciplinary study, tailor their education to their interests and collaborate with faculty and other students on research. This module provides the knowledge of the structure and methods of analysis of proteins, with particular emphasis on enzymes. Papers reporting kinetic and thermodynamic data concerning enzymes and other catalytic proteins and nucleic acids should include the identity of the enzymes, additional biological information (e.g., species and tissue normally found in, post-translational modification), preparation and criteria of purity, assay conditions, methodology, activity, and any other information relevant to judging the reproducibility of the results.
