I take slight exception to Wolk’s use of the phrase “lip service. It's gross and utterly nonsensical, the story-telling so tight, so visually smart. i tend to assume people are as aware of things as I am, with regards to popular online artists, but I've talked to a number of people who don't haven't come across Cornella's work, so this should definitely help. However, I'm most excited to see a new comic from the excellent Natalie Andrewson (whose illustration work I first came across via Nobrow, and I'm a huge fan of) this March, one that promises to be 'a fantasy / fighting / heist story with lots of magical fruits and also punching and violence!' Master Keaton by Naoki Urasawa, Viz (April/October): I'll take any new Naoki Urasawa I can get my hands on, and although this is a slightly older work, it's the first time it's being given an English release.

It has been years since I last delved into the Cyberpunk realm and SP4RX was a brilliant reintroduction to the genre that did not disappoint! Undated (c 1940). 2 7/8" x 4 3/8". 8-page stapled booklet. In fact, says Tricia, many librarians and teachers get students to read by introducing them to non-fiction comics. However, these two scholarly fields rarely engage in meaningful dialog, despite their mutual interest: the examination of women in comics, whether behind the scenes or on the page.
