There are only two ways to protect a coastal community from sea power. But, most importantly, you'll get a feel for the United States Constitution itself and how it is that a document that was written over 200 years ago still plays an integral role in our everyday lives. One of the publications that focused discussion on the issue was this volume by William White. The Manifesto of the Province of Flanders (1790) was the first foreign derivation of the Declaration; [147] others include the Venezuelan Declaration of Independence (1811), the Liberian Declaration of Independence (1847), the declarations of secession by the Confederate States of America (1860–61), and the Vietnamese Proclamation of Independence (1945). [148] These declarations echoed the United States Declaration of Independence in announcing the independence of a new state, without necessarily endorsing the political philosophy of the original. [149] Other countries have used the Declaration as inspiration or directly copied sections from it.

There are many couples who prefer to live together now without the title of marriage. Franklin visited Bethlehem many times and stayed at the Moravian Sun Inn. In the citizenship test, the applicant for citizenship is asked up to 10 of the 100 questions. There's a concise description of events and reasons leading to the creation of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, which I found pretty informative (again, I don't know if this gets routinely covered in middle school somewhere).

Little Virginia Dare, was the granddaughter of John White, the appointed Governor of the "Lost Colony", and was probably the first English baby born in the New World. Children did not have much playtime then, and they had to work on becoming adults at a young age. They included a full range of social and economic classes, but were unanimous regarding the need to defend the rights of Americans and uphold the principles of republicanism in terms of rejecting monarchy and aristocracy, while emphasizing civic virtue on the part of the citizens.
