Direct Deposit — Direct deposit allows eligible households and individuals to deposit their cash benefits into a checking or savings account instead of being paid to a cash EBT account. In all cases a subjective social need is involved which any society ignores to its own peril. Policy makers restricted the kinds of jobs that could contribute to Social Security and unemployment insurance.
