Bell has crisp engraving and french bead rim. In the beginning there were four different kinds of trombones used. There`s no point of making ourselves go lower than what is humanly possible to hear. Its been played and not in a closet and boy if these horns could talk, I'm sure this one has some stories to share. It was built for and played by Billy Byers during his career. Fourth, I just love the patina on this horn. A doctor at the University of Connecticut took a culture from inside his horn. We recommend reading questions before you make any purchases. The mouthpiece receiver has an original tapered design, so your standard small shank will not work. It is in most excellent condition and is ready to be put to work. I performed this test with two gold-brass, unsoldered bells and they did play essentially the same.
